The department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery of Zhejiang Provincial Hospital was founded in 1985. It turned to the Center of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery on 12.July, 2004 after well renovated and rebuilt. It is located at the 4th floor of main building and taken about 400 square meters in a nice and beautiful place.

The center has three branches. They are reconstructive surgery, cosmetic surgery and laser treatment. It has more than 20 professional staffs including 4 prodessors. Surgeons are all from famous medical universities of global and were all sent for advanced plastic surgery training in top hospitals in china. They have done ten thousands of operations

Our Chief of the Department
1. Clinical:
He had experience in plastic surgery for over 13 years before he studied abroad. He can finish facial plastic, ear reconstruction, rhinoplasty, cleft lip and palate taxis; free skin flap transplantation and broken finger reconnection; immediate breast reconstruction after mastectomy and breast augmentation; burned scar revision,etc. He is proficient in the principle of laser and also well used it in plastic surgery. He had learned new technologies during his overseas study. The new technologies are now fully used in rhinoplasty, breast cosmetic surgery and laser treatment in our center.
2. Scientific research:
He has quite good ability in researching and practicing in plastic surgery, has entirely knowledge of cytology, molecule-biology and nerve regeneration. He has the proficiency in using other languages e.g. English, Japanese etc. He had done many animal experiments during his study abroad and had learned how to pick up, separate, cultural, transplant the nerve stem cells. He can also manipulate optic microscope and electrical microscope and other high-tech scopes. Now the research of marrow stem cells for tissue regenerate are still continued. We welcome cooperations from other clinics or labs.
3. Teaching:
He also gives lecture to medical students, and supervises post-graduate students in clinic or experiments of nerve regeneration and stem cell transplant.
